Cabinet construction
1/2" A-Grade plywood with wood veneer on sides of wall and base cabinets. 1/2" A-Grade plywood with wood veneer on tops and bottoms of wall cabinets. 3/8" A-Grade plywood with wood veneer on bottoms of base cabinets. Back panels are 1/2"-3/4" thick. Wall cabinets have picture frame recess style back panels. Most base cabinets have full back panels. Some cabinets have additional installation rail strips.

Hinges on single door wall and base cabinets are located on the right side by default. In most cases, they can be reversed to the opposite side. Reversing the cabinet hinge position may require pre-drilling small holes.
Cabinets with full overlay doors come with a small clearance between doors/drawers and cabinet edges. If a cabinet is located next to a wall or other surface (e.g. refrigerator panel), we recommend adding at least 1/4" additional clearance to allow doors/drawers operate smoothly. The 1/4" is the minimum recommended, however, some applications will require a bigger clearance depending on hardware and other project requirements. Use a scribe molding or wall/base fillers to fill the gaps. Generally, the additional spacing is not required in between cabinets unless they are different depth (e.g. a 12" deep wall cabinet next to a 24" deep pantry). See an example
