Hinge side
Hinges on single door wall, base, vanity, and pantry cabinets are located on the right side by default. In most cases, they can be reversed to the opposite side. Reversing the cabinet hinge position may require pre-drilling small holes.
Cabinets with full overlay doors have minimal clearance between the doors/drawers and cabinet edges. If a cabinet is positioned next to a wall or other surface (e.g. refrigerator panel), we recommend adding at least 1/4" additional clearance to allow doors and drawers operate smoothly. While 1/4" is the minimum recommended, some applications may require a greater clearance depending on hardware and other project requirements. It is recommended to use scribe moldings and wall/base fillers to bridge any resulting gaps. In general, additional spacing between standard cabinets is not necessary, except in specific situations - for example, when cabinets have different depths (e.g., a 12" deep wall cabinet next to a 24" deep pantry). In addition to the standard and additional clearance, adjust the hinge and drawer slide settings to achieve the desired door/drawer clearance and alignment.
